This is a compilation of creative liberties taken with the canon information from the books. Including some changes (where needed) and some additional schools.
Though the additional schools will be added later for the most part.
It's allowed to submit lore about a school according to this form, including about schools that no longer exist (mostly applies to any Returned from older time periods)

Beauxbatons
Location: Southern France.
Language: French
School years: 8-17 years old. (10 years) Pre-Edu 2 years. Full Edu 7 years.
Standardised tests in: 6th year (OWL) and 7th year (NEWT)
Uniform: Powder blue silk and cotton suits for the men, powerblue silk dresses for the ladies (traditionally). The materials are chosen to work well with the hot climate. Conversations on making the uniform more uniform are currently ongoing and girls are allowed to also wear the suits in stead of the dresses if desired. They also come with a different shape hat than most wizards.
General: Beaubatons places a very high value on neat and orderly presentation as well as ettiquette and sophistication. Their curriculum includes lessons in ettiquette. They have a luscious courtyard including an apple orchard and many fountains. All of this most likely sponsored by the Flamel family, who went to school here. There are no poltergeists here and the students are serenaded during meal times. One could easily say this school values a strict and clean learning environment, but wishes the students to be as relaxed as possible in their environment nonetheless. The culture does lean towards more outdated gender norms and stereotypes, something that has only recently begun to shift.

Durmstrang
Location: Scandinavia
Language: Norwegian and Swedish primarily (with classes offered in other smaller languages as well, including Danish, Finnish, and Icelantic)
School years: 11-18 years old. (8 years)
Standardised tests in: 4th year (OWL core) 6th year (OWL electives) and 8th year (NEWT)
Uniform: A military style uniform for both men and woman. Skirts were never a thing here. While the main colour is brown the formal wear is a more rich and vibrant red in colour. This does come in dress variant, although the style is still quite military in nature. Their uniforms as lined with fur due to the cold climate.
General: This school might look very military but it very strongly promotes student bonding. The curriculum promotes dark arts as only of the Triwizard Schools. While the teachers are very strict cameradery is very strongly promoted and students are always encouraged to help each other. They have a smaller castle but promote many more outdoor activities and excursions. Their learning approach to most classes tends to be a lot more hands on and outdoors. Generally friendships made while at Durmstrang are strong friendships that are not easily broken. While they were against accepting muggleborns in previous years they have (somewhat relucantly) opened their doors to all young magical folk.
